The REW's entry for X-95 Music Compo
────────────────────────────
!! Selfplaying EXE - GUS Required !!
Chapter 1: Some background bullshit.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ─── ── ─ ∙ ∙ · ·
Pfew!! The first three patterns of this song were composed in FOUR minutes.
Four of my best minutes of tracking music I think! I really had no idea how
to finish this one! :( So I just copied some patterns, semitoned like
hell, added some extra orchestration, and tadaa: another tune ready for
release! :)
Most samples I used are 16 bit GUS patches. Most of them were ripped from
ViC / AcmE. I have no idea where I 'ripped' the other samples.
This tune was composed in PolyTracker, coded by Lone Ranger / AcmE, who also
coded this selfplaying EXE. I was forced to make a selfplaying EXE, cause no
other player plays PTMs, except of course PolyTracker! :)
This background bullshit is continued in chapter 2 of this info file.
Chapter 2: Continuation of background bullshit.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ─── ── ─ ∙ ∙ · ·
PolyTracker is a Scream Tracker 3 oriented tracker. So no mouse clicking, no
f*cking buttons all over your screen, no tears in your eyes after composing
for 10 minutes because of the screen being so full of shit.
No, everything is spread under different keys, resulting in a great overview
of your song. The way it should be, don't you think?
However, Lone Ranger is now working together with JAL / Nostalgia to recode
the tracker to make it an even greater tracker. They're even planning to
develop the so called 'PTOS', which stands for PolyTracker Operating System.
This will of course take very long, so I think PolyTracker won't be released
before 2000..... ;)
Chapter 3: How to contact The REW.

That first address is 'buggy', so if your messages are bounced, please try

Hi All!
(That one is mainly here to say hi to Simstim)
In the babytro my greetinx list was way longer, so I think I am forgetting
some dudes right now. Please forgive me if you are not listed.
Ofcourse, when you're not listed, it could also be that I think that you are
a severe jackass, not worthy of being greeted here.
Chapter 5: Future music by The REW / Nostalgia.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ─── ── ─ ∙ ∙ · ·
If you like chiptunes, then have some patience, cause Nostalgia will soon
release a chip tune music disk called 'Chip Fever'. All the music has been
finished, but JAL is too busy to code the interface. As soon as he has time
he will start to work on it, and the music disk will be released pretty soon,
since the interface will be very simple.
After the release of 'Chip Fever', our next project will probably be 'Imago
Mundi', the first 'normal' music by The REW.
Chapter 6: The end of this info file.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ─── ── ─ ∙ ∙ · ·
This is the end.
